One of the many reasons I love UNF is because of the small community feel. I love walking around campus and seeing familiar faces, I will see classmates from past semester who say hello, and seem to genuinely care how I am doing.
Okay I will get to the point of my blog post, so finals week has arrived and with the stress of studying and getting to exams on time a feeling of tension has overcome the campus. So when the bus drive at school stopped at the library and said good luck guys on finals today, it made my day. A simple sentence with few words brought a smile to my face. Man, I love unf!

Wolf pack
While studying for my Career Planning test I read a funny sentence that I thought I would share with my followers. BTW my book is written by UNF teachers.
Note: this sentence is about group interviews.
"This might make you feel like you are in a wolf pack fighting to be the dominant leader, but your should try to keep your cool, listen to what is said, ask questions when appropriate, and look for opportunities to discuss your qualifications."
Does this remind you of anything?

Two words and a few numbers: Campus Harvest 2010

So Campus Harvest has finally arrived. This weekend my college ministry will head to Durham, NC for a college worship conference. This weekend is life changing, and I am expecting/hoping for big things from God. So this post is more about excited news from UNF, instead of poking fun at UNF.
So here are my thoughts about my packing list:
#1 SNUGGIE!!!! On the 10-12 hour drive up a snuggie is a must for comfort, warmth, and ability to do homework.
#2 V-NECKS: Just went to Target and found really comfy v-necks for $4 great for comfort, style.
#3 (on my must pack) CHACOS, I figure I will be back in the great state of North Carolina so why not bring back my mountain sandals.
Well much more to pack, but must complete homework before the fun begins.
God Bless, will try to update soon!
Go OSPREYS!!!

Library and reward

Thomas G. Carpenter is the library at UNF- and every weekend that my Theta sister Alyssa and I can go we study for about 4 hours together. It has become a great tradition and a fun way to study/become a better friend. The one thing Alyssa and I always decide within 10 minutes of studying is what our reward for studying will be. From McFlurries to a feast at Sonny's BBQ it is always fun and great to FEAST out after 4 painful hours in the TGC.
So long story short this past weekend Alyssa and I went to IHOP after studying. For some reason we thought New York Cheesecake pancakes would be good. So we made a strategy and ordered like pro's. I ordered two chocolate pancakes, two scrambled eggs, strips of bacon, and hash browns. Alyssa (who probably would hate if she knew I posted this) ordered two New York cheesecake pancakes, two eggs, bacons, and hash browns. We split the pancakes so each of us ate 1 chocolate and 1 New York cheesecake pancakes. Overall a great time studying, eating, and hanging out with a great friend. Just another weekend in the Prey Nation.

Creeper or not a creeper that is the question...
So I was on my way to the Osprey Connector (UNF bus system) in the rain, and I saw the bus about to leave so I did a little jog, laughing and smiling to myself hoping the bus wouldn't leave me. I start to flag down the bus driver and he (thankfully) stopped the bus and let me in. As I enter the bus the bus driver says, "I couldn't leave when I saw that smile." I didn't know if I should be creeped out or be happy for the compliment on my fake teeth smile. Opinions? Let me know creeper or nice guy?

Quotes from a witty Bio teacher...
"So if someone is holding you at gun point and you can choose to be submerged in freshwater or seawater. Pick seawater, either way you're screwed."
"Every time you take a sip of ocean water you take in these guys (Marine Cyanobacteria) it's not bad for you, its like a protein shake."
"Why not just have gas, not you."
"We will get to talking about dolphins and whales next week, keep your pantyhose on."

This is why being an Education major is amazing...
So I am in a computer class to learn about the advantages of using technology in a classroom. My teacher decided it would be a great idea to entertain the class by bring in Wii, as you can see my class agreed with her assumption. Yay for playing Wii in class, while the rest of my classmates went on Facebook, did homework, left class, etc. etc. BEST CLASS SO FAR!
Sometimes I feel like I attend a high school...
So UNF is a pretty small school compared to UF and alike universities, and sometimes I get the feeling that I attend a high school. Not that I don't love UNF for it's small classroom size and small atmosphere its just that I feel like days in my life could be on the NBC show community, about a community college called Green Dale. If only I had taken pictures of our schools "pep-rally" before the BIG basketball game against our across town rival JU, you would understand. Just thought I would share my thoughts on the GREAT Osprey Nation coming together for the BIG game.
